Reading Challenge Sign- Up and Review: 1st to Die by James Patterson

So, I have seen some of this series in my library for a while now, and I figured that this challenge would give me an opportunity to read them. You can check out more details under my Challenges page.

So, onto the review for the first book.

1st to Die (Women's Murder Club #1)Imagine a killer who thinks, "What is the worst thing anyone has ever done?"--and then goes far beyond it. Now imagine four women --a police detective, an assistant DA, a reporter, and a medical examiner --who join forces as they sidestep their bosses to track down criminals. Known as the Women's Murder Club, they are pursuing a murderer whose twisted imagination has stunned an entire city. Their chief suspect is a socially prominent writer, but the men in charge won't touch him. On the trail of the most terrifying and unexpected killer ever, they discover a shocking surprise that turns everything about the case upside down.

I really liked this one. Period. Im used to reading his Maximum Ride series, and this one was a first for his not YA books. Its been years since I have read a murder mystery, and this book was a very good one to end my hiatus with. James Patterson didnt write a small book, he starts it with a BANG and it doesnt stop.
It made me ball my eyes out, though, and if you wanna know why, you should read it yourself. I have no idea how he will top this one, and, for once, I really wanna know.
The ending was kinda flat but unexpected. I was left guessing at every turn, and it was friggen awesome. It doesnt zoom in on either the case nor the main character. It zooms in on everyone. We get an insight on whats going on in everyones head, and we even get an insight on the murders.
Is it bad to say I love the killer? Hes so effing awesome. Seriously. Hes like the coolest sociapath I have ever read about. Perfect bad guy. And how the murders were set up and never able to be solved? Brilliant! Maybe some of us shouldnt read this... Haha.
Theres not much to say about this, because there really werent any errors. James Patterson brings, yet again, another great book, and I cant wait to read more of his work. Maybe after this series I will go for the Alex Rider series? Im not sure what its called, I might be crossing it with the Alex Cross series. But, I do have the first book in some series on my bookshelf, lol.

Hey, Ce-Ce! I enjoyed this one as well. This was my first Patterson novel, and I'm planning to read the Alex Cross series after I finish the Women's Murder Club. I haven't yet read the Maximum Ride series either.

I agree that Patterson writes an amazing sociopath!

I hope you enjoy the rest of the series just as much!
