My name is Alexia Williams. In my world, North America is divided between north and south but not the way it's taught in the history books. After losing my family to the shifters, I joined the Combined Human States Army. Now I find myself on the front lines, defending the wall between my species and theirs. My mission is simple: keep the animals on their side by whatever means necessary and I'm good at it.
I don't talk to them. I don't sympathize with them. I sure as hell don't admire them until one saves my life.
Andor isn't like any shifter I've ever met. He's a three-hundred-year-old golden eagle asking for help finding missing shifters who may be in my lands.
I just have to decide between helping the animals or ignoring signs that my fellow humans aren't what I thought they were. But how can I help a species I hate and fear? Even if Andor makes me feel alive again? In the land of the shifters they call me Death.

First off, thank you Missy for taking the time to send this book to me -- twice, I might add, since the first one got lost in the mail -- and you are awesome for that.
I absolutely loved this book. I love the world and how its twisted and something I really havnt seen around before. Most of what you see around are vampires coming out of hiding and sometimes witches, but all kinds of shifters?
I think that it was a little fast in places, and it started to confuse me a bit. Then it evened out and it turned into a very good book. I, honestly, dont have anything bad to say about this one, though.
The sparks between Lex and Andor simmered and didnt automatically jump into love or something like that. I swear, if I read another one of those books anytime soon, I might pull my hair out. I would have also loved to get more insight on Andor. Maybe another version in his POV? Yea, I wish.
I really want to see more books like this, and guess who just topped my favorite author list?
Anywhoo.... you should definatly put it on your TBR list and pick it up next time your book shopping. Its worth the money and the time. It was definatly worth not doing school work to read this, lol. Im definatly going to read more of Missy Jane`s books.

I bought the book because of the review and first person intro. Really look forward to reading it.
