Guest Blog: Author of Blood and Guitars, Heather Jensen

Blood And Guitars On The Silver Screen (I wish.)
A Dream Cast by Heather Jensen
I’d like to thank Celestial Reviews for having me today. I think almost any author would jump at the chance to see their book adapted for the screen, given that the script and casting were done well. I’m no exception. Below are my favorite choices to play some of the characters from Blood And Guitars:

Chace Crawford – Trey Decker Chace is my pick for Trey, the frontman in the band Catalyst who is fighting writer’s block and strauggling with the pressure of recording a new album. Best known for his role as Nate Archibald in the hit TV series Gossip Girl, Chace is a perfect physical match for Trey. I had never seen Gossip Girl (yes, I know that means I’d been living in the stone-age) when I saw a glimpse of Chace on a commercial last year. I proceeded to snatch up the remote and rewind the commercial while enthusiastically proclaiming to my amused husband that I’d just seen Trey on TV. My Trey! Needless to say, I’m a big fan of the show now. Everything about Chace, from his easy charm and confidence, to the slight grit in his voice, embodies the Trey I have always had in my head. I wonder if he can sing?

http://famous-celebrities-in-the-world.blogspot.com/Jessica Lowndes – Aurora Evins. Jessica is my pick to play Aurora, the loner vampire who runs her own art studio/gallery and is unable to feed from Trey when she first meets him. Once again, I’m clueless and had to ask around to learn the identity of this actress when I saw this picture of her on Pinterest. She’s on  the new 90210. Jessica looks just like Aurora, especially with those amazing green eyes. I can imagine them glowing already, accompanied by a nice set of fangs. Apparently she can sing, too. Maybe she could give Chace a few pointers on set? (Image: http://famous-celebrities-in-the-world.blogspot.com/2011/04/jessica-lowndes.html)

Aaron Hill – Chase Norton.

Adam GregoryAdam Gregory – Jonas Haskins. Adam is my choice to play Jonas. Jonas is the bass player and the tech geek of the band. He’s a little more quiet and reserved than the rest of the guys in the band, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t running the show behind the scenes. Adam is another cast member from 90210. I really need to start watching this show, apparently! (Image: http://www.mostbeautifulman.com/actors/AdamGregory/bio.shtml)

There you have it: 4 of my casting choices for Blood And Guitars on the silver screen. I hope you’ll check out Blood And Guitars if you haven’t. The second book in the series, Immortals And Melodies, was just released on Kindle on May 28th!

Aaron is my pick for Chase, Catalyst’s drummer and long-time friend of Trey’s. I first saw Aaron on Greek and while I didn’t immediately consider him for the role of Chase, I’ve seen him on several other small TV spots lately and I’ve decided he’s perfect for the role. Chase is described in the book as being the guy who spends the most time at the gym, and Aaron can definitely fill that role. Also, Chase is a very lovable, goofy character. Aaron’s time on Greek is evidence enough that he could pull that off nicely. (Image:

Hmm it seems like your blog ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying
your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to the whole thing. Do you have any tips and hints for rookie blog writers? I'd really appreciate it.
