Guest Post and Giveaway: Author of Blood Stained Tranquility, N. Isabelle Blanco

Your gods all have personalities locked within them, why did you do this and explain how you mapped this all out.

Ah, my schizophrenic characters *laugh*. Well, first off, not all the characters in this series will have personalities locked within them…not to the extent of Dyletri, Zeniel, Crius, and Vedlyl, to name a few. But they all have other aspects inside them to deal with. And, in reality, when you think about it, that’s us humans, too. Most people are obsessed with the fantasy of normalcy and they won’t admit it, but psychology has proven the fact that there isn’t a singular “I”, just many aspects that come together to make the illusion of it. (Sigmund Freud’s description of what makes up our sense of self—id, ego, & super ego—comes to mind.)
The universe itself runs on a balance of opposites—matter, anti-matter; female, male; black, white; light, darkness; ying and yang. I always knew that if I went ahead with a paranormal series, that I would explore that concept. It’s a fascinating notion to me, one that I wanted to dive forehead first into.
Did I map it out? I rarely ever plan my stories in that sense. My idea of “mapping” something out is when stories or their scenes take over and I rush to write them down. If I have the time to do so, that is. Sometimes the stories just sit in my head for months at a time, waiting for me to put them down on paper. But there isn’t a systematic, bullet-list kind of planning involved in my stories. The stories themselves and the characters (along with their split-personalities :p) all just come to life on their own. Usually within a split second or so, and this is something that I’m actually very grateful for. I’ve heard what a nightmare it can be for authors to sit down and have to plan every aspect of whatever story they’re about to write.
Maybe one day things will change and I will have to do it that way, but for now I can thankfully say that the stories—in their wonderful, complex packages—are still coming to me at the snap of a finger, so to speak.

The wheels of destiny are spiraling out of control quicker than even the gods can keep up. They all thought they knew what war was like—but have no idea how bad things are about to get. In the continuation of the Szolite series, two of the most dangerous powers in the Universe will be unleashed, threatening to push two fated beings apart.

A normal human girl. . .
Evesse Salazar never imagined that a violent end to her already difficult life would be just the beginning. After being thrown into a vortex, shredded apart, and killed, she is reborn as something more. Something she might not be able to manage. If that weren’t enough, she awakes newly mated to the last being in the Universe she ever would have chosen.
Now, with no other option, Eve must come to terms with her powers, her past, and her mate before he loses control of what might just be uncontrollable.

A god with a monster locked inside. . .
For over eleven thousand years, Zeniel, God of Tranquility, has done everything in his power to keep his other half, the God of Vengeance, from breaking free. A single glance from Mavrak is all it takes to kill those deemed guilty. The wraiths under his command can tear thousands to shreds in an instant, no matter how small their crimes. Zeniel knows he must remain at peace to keep Mavrak at bay, but he’s rendered helpless with one look into the eyes of his mate.
The longing for Evesse is enough to rip the demon out of its cage, and with the Gods on the verge of a cataclysmic war, Mavrak has every intention of gorging on both his mate, and the vengeance he so desperately needs
