Review: Audiobook Challenge- No Mercy

No Mercy (Dark-Hunter, #19; Were-Hunter, #6)Live fast, fight hard and if you have to die then take as many of your enemies with you as you can. That is the Amazon credo and it was one Samia lived and died by. Now in contemporary New Orleans, the immortal Amazon warrior is about to learn that there’s a worse evil coming to slaughter mankind than she’s ever faced before.

Shapeshifter Dev Peltier has stood guard at the front of Sanctuary for almost two hundred years and in that time, he’s seen it all. Or so he thought. Now their enemies have discovered a new source of power- one that makes a mockery of anything faced to date.

The war is on and Dev and Sam are guarding ground zero. But in order to win, they will have to break the most cardinal of all rules and pray it doesn’t unravel the universe as we know it.

I bet you guys are happy that you actually get to hear from me again, lol. No, I have not died, nor abandoned you. Just introducing you to some new books and authors. I have two physical copies of books from this series, and although I have not read them yet, I went ahead and picked up two audio books from my library from the series and listened to them both.
I didnt know what to expect when I listened to No Mercy. The guy was pretty cool, even though I had to get used to his voice, and the way he talked in everyones face pulled me into the story better than it would have if I had read it. The characters were great, but there were a few times that I got people mixed up, and I ended up kinda emberassed.
I would have loved for the.... well, love to develope, but Im fine with the way it was, just not too happy and enthusiastic. The ending could have been stronger, but that too I can live with.
Sam and Dev are not my two favorite couple, and I felt their story should have been more delveloped. Yes I cried, yes I raged, and to me, thats how a story should be developed. I look forward to seeing them in future books (If I get to see them at all) and to see how much further thier relationship has developed, and yes-- to see what messed up kids they have. Your going to have the read or listen to the book to understand the last bit.
I reccomend this book to anyone who wants to read it, and I reccomend the series to anyone who hasnt heard of it. Its a wonderful series, and if you liked Gena Showalter, I have no doubt that you will like Sherrilyn Kenyon.
My Rating:
(5 out of 5)
