Nobody's Angel Investigative journalist Kendall Glynn is horrified when a friend and colleague signs off permanently during a live newscast, jabbing a pen into his jugular. Kendall's no expert, but judging by the strange white veil in the anchorman's eyes, she would swear he was a man possessed.

Nobody`s Angel was a cute, short story filled with ghosts, nephillim, danger, and that oh, so adorable... puppy love! Well, more like a love of each others bodies, if you get my drift.
It starts off after our heroine witnesses a co-worker go bat-shit crazy, attempt a murder, then end it all with a suicide. She meets our hero, a mysterious guy you just want to make out with, and against all odds they are thrown together in a fight to save humanity from... something.
Thats where the mystery comes in, ladies and gents.
Kendall is a tough, quirky character, and I liked her a lot. She was badass, but not to the point where shes full of herself. It was fun to watch hre stubborness, and that she didnt spook easily. Shes curious and nozy, and that brought that perfect... something to the book. And to top it off, she knows just how to get under mysterious hottie, Zeke`s skin.
Theres not much to say about him, either. He was a surprise, and I enjoyed reading about his character. He adds a little... zing to the story and its awesome how he tries to thwart Kendall`s quest to figure out the mystery behind a rash of murder-suicides.

Although I understand that this book was short, I felt that it moved a little bit too fast and I was missing something. It left me confused at times, and I had a hard time keeping up with Kendall as she solved their little "mystery". While those points were annoying, they were easy to look over and I soon found myself engrossed in the book. I felt it was more of a "finding oneself" book more than anything, but there were so many things going on at one time - angst, romance, mystery, murder- that it was alright with me. Now that I have a feel of the author`s writing, I cant wait to dive into the second book to see whats in store!

If you havnt read Nobody`s Angel yet, its totally a must read for a rainy day.

I rate this book:

3 out of 5
