Come Together and a Series Gets Born
Hello everyone :) Thanks for having me here today and giving
me center stage to blat about my Lycan
International Investigation Series, all to do with wild paranormal erotic
romances, dangerous investigations, crazed criminal werewolf rogues and
vampires (plus more supernaturals), and to keep it all coming at a good fast
pace every event charges onto the page as worse/better than the one before. *grins – rubs hands together*
I’m Kay Dee Royal, author of Savage Smoke – Book 2
(and Staring
Into the Eyes of Chance – Book 1) and my ultimate passion is writing
erotic romance, whether it be paranormal, fantasy, or contemporary.
This series idea started with a friend who had lost her
husband suddenly. She had married the man of her dreams straight out of high
school. After his funeral, she mentioned all the women that had attended – I
juiced up these tidbits to fit my story.
She’s fifty-something years old and loves everything to do with wildlife,
living on a large piece of property which is more like a wildlife preserve.
Meet Olivia, main character for book 1, has a philandering
husband only doesn’t know it until he dies, when she swears off all men. She’s
fifty-five and owns and operates a wildlife refuge and preserve – plus I added
a bonus, she was born with the ability to communicate with animals, psychically.
The Lycan International Investigation Agency is part of my
personal draw to investigation shows and books – I threw a paranormal spin to
it…and along with that came a dysfunctional family.
What? Paranormals can have dysfunction, too;)
The crux of two brothers – Werewolves – the youngest—sole
survivor of the second litter, his mother dies in his childbirth—makes Alpha,
and the oldest—a runt from the first litter, who should have been chosen—turns
resentment into a deep black hole. I’ve discovered there’s no end of what I can
create with this little morsel.
I love reading erotic romance, so of course, Lycans…all
species, seem to have an over-abundance of sexual urges, which always comes
across as natural among their packs, meaning lots of occurrences. *grins*
You’ll see my warning on Book 1 and Book 2…told you it
continues to ramp-up…in everything, including the sexy explicit partsJ
Thank you for listening;) Now, I have a question for you…
I’m getting ready to write Book 3, Smoke ‘n Bliss…Smoke will
do anything to get what he wants. Even if it means kidnapping, impregnating,
slaughtering, drugging, or anything else required in making it happen.
I had him dead to rights…seriously, dying in Savage
Smoke. I played hell writing the last chapters because his lights were
out for good…but, he kept kicking and yelling, insisting he should get the
chance at redemption, AND he demanded something else, too. Something he never
had before…and it was his due to claim it.
Do you think there’s a chance in hell Smoke can actually
pull it off…redeeming himself for Book 3?
Savage Smoke (LIIA #2)
Chance and his LIIA pack of agents search for rogue Lycan mastermind, Smoke, kidnapper of Lindsey and fifteen other human women he plans to use for procreating his own army.
Trevor, Chance’s right-hand Lycan, wants his mate back, but believes she’s fallen for her captor. Lindsey loves Trevor but believes he’s given up on her.
Will Trevor come around in time to rescue Lindsey and save her from shifting into Smoke’s pack, and will she even want back with Trevor after spending so long apart?
Kay Dee
Royal Bio:
Kay Dee Royal writes paranormal, fantasy, and contemporary
erotic romance—maybe because they’re also her favorite genres to read! She pens
tales with wild, rugged heroes and strong, intelligent heroines. She'll give
them both a few shadowy secrets, making her stories intriguing and
fun. She resides in Southern Michigan with her family (her dogs, her cats,
her caged husband... you get the idea). You can find the latest on her titles
from her publisher, MuseItHot.
