Review: Blue Moon Brides Series by Anne Marsh

 I was supposed to have this review up about the 27 or something, but I have been having computer and  internet problems on my end. I am sorry for the delay and I hope you enjoy. I did love the books, despite the short reviews.

I must admit, while I'm still iffy on this book, its intriguing. The world and plot is interesting. I get that this can be pushed under the erotica category, and I noticed that the author tried to stick with it, but I was pleased that the story line wasn't a bust like most books like this are. Mostly its just about the guy trying to get into the girl`s pants as fast as he can, maybe a slight conflict here and there, then a happily ever after!

I hate those kinds of stories! This one is not one of them. While I would have loved a little more development in the romance category, I'm happy with what I got.

The world is different, and for that I am grateful. I enjoyed reading and learning about the pack and about the werewolves, and while (again) I wish there were more details about their world. I think their might be more later on in the series, so I'm holding out hope.

And speaking about that, I'm greatly anticipating the next book because I cant wait to see how adding another woman to the pack will effect everything. I'm so used to reading vampire books that I couldn't put this one down because I seriously enjoyed it!

I think werewolves might be my next favorite thing.

And while it has a good plot and isn't all about sex, there is a good amount of it in the book, so no worries if my review has you thinking otherwise. I cant wait to start the next book!

Mary Jane Johnson is no heartbreaker. Running from a troubled past, the bayou captain wants only to be left alone. When she takes a pair of bayou bad boys on board, however, Dre and Landry have her rethinking her need for space. These two big males have promised to take orders—all of her orders. Suddenly, she’s dreaming of getting as close as possible… to both of the Breaux brothers.

So, this one is a bit better. The romance was a bit... eh...  but it was different than the first book. The setting was different and I liked that. I also liked that there was more of the vampires. Not that much, but just enough to whet my curiosity. 

I was a little dissapointed that the synopsis was misleading and the romance didnt really have a handle on it until about the end of the book. It was like the boys could go for one girl, but then they wanted the other, and it was frustrating.

When the vampire threatens Riley’s nearest and dearest, she must ask herself if resisting Dag’s mate claim is worth losing everything she cares about… or if teaching her wolf to love is worth the risk.

So, I actually liked this book a lot. The romance takes place in a real short amount of times, and that hit a pet peeve, but Im ok with that. This book goes back to being a MF romance, with a little surprise. 

I saw more of those vampires, and I must say I give the author credit for not sticking to the  modern day stereotype with the hotness and gentleness and crap.  I liked the characters, both of them. They were  both hard headed and were entertaining. I liked that there were surprises at every turn. 

Riley, however, did come off as easy to me. It irked me a bit, but I guess I can look past that. She is a strong willed female lead, and it makes me want to look forward to whats coming up in the future if the series is to be continued.
