On Epic Reads, they show the difference between Banned Books and Challenged books. Here is the definition they put:
Banned Books: If a group of people challenge a book and they win, then the book is banned and removed from public spaces like schools, libraries, ect.

Following lots of books through the banned book reads made me surprised at which books have been banned! I have read quite a few of them myself - I never knew Looking for Alaska was banned!
