Netgalley November Week #2: Recap and Planning Ahead!

Week 2! How did this happen? Oh, wait, time! LOL. Not only is it Netgalley November, but its also National Novel Writing Month, and I seem to be epically failing at them both!

So, what did I read last week? 1 one. ONE! I'm ashamed, but still proud. At least I got that done, right? So right now I'm reading an ARC of Hard As it Gets by the fabulous Laura Kaye for a review later on, but as soon as I'm finished I will be hitting the Netgalley books again!

The book I read last week? Take a look! -drumroll-

Fireblood (Fireblood, #1)

Fireblood by Trisha Wolfe! While its not the same as her other books, its still intriguing and will suck you in like quicksand. It did, however, take me like a week to finish it, but that's not really bad! I was busy and sick. You can read my short (and very lame, even though Trisha says its not) review, HERE.

Im not sure what I plan to *try* to read for this week. Hmm....  Well, thats going to be a surprise! Even for me...

PS. Is anyone else having trouble loading Netgalley? It seems that it doesn't want to load for me.

ARC Short Review: Fireblood by Trisha Wolfe

Fireblood (Fireblood, #1)Fireblood by Trisha Wolfe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Once again Trisha weaves a compelling story and world that just sucks readers in and doesnt let them go. I fully enjoyed reading another one of her books. While it took me a bit longer to read this one, once it hit that certain spot I didnt want to put it down.

The characters are amazing and I wouldnt change a thing about it. The POV annoyed me a bit because I felt that it should have been third person. It would have been much much better if we could delve into the minds of the other characters. Maybe a bit more jucier, too ;) The romance was good and OMG I want Devlan.

Im suprised, too, because Im not used to her books actually having a non cliff hangy ending. I dont have to anticipate another book even though I found multiple spots she could have cliffed us at.

All in all, there isnt much to say about this book other than the fact that you should go out and buy it. Stat.

Seriously, youll love it. I love Trisha`s writing style and the worlds she builds and the characters just fit. And while this review totally sucks and I promise to re-do it, take this as a hint to BUY IT WHEN IT COMES OUT!

by
To save a kingdom, Zara must choose between a prince who could be the answer and a rising rebellion that threatens to take control.

When Zara Dane is chosen to marry Prince Sebastian Hart, son of the man who ordered her father’s capture, Zara knows she must fight to save everything she loves from ruin.

Being betrothed to the prince means a life trapped behind the towering stone walls of the Camelot-forged realm. Under the watchful eye of the prince's first knight, Sir Devlan Capra, changing her future becomes difficult.

When an unlikely rebel reveals the truth about the deadly secrets that fuel King Hart’s twisted world, Zara’s path to rescue her father becomes clouded by deception. The Rebels clear her path by forcing Zara’s hand with an ultimatum: sway Prince Sebastian to join the Rebels, convincing him of his father’s evil nature, or they will take him out.

But Zara is uncertain about a future under the Rebels’ command and where the prince’s heart truly lies. She must decide who to trust, what to believe, and what she’s truly fighting for before the king destroys all of Karm, including her heart.

Netgalley November! Week #1

netgalleynovember3

Woot! Its November! How did everyone enjoy their Halloween? This month is Netgalley November, and my goal is to bring up the number of Negalley books I have read and reviewed. I am WAY behind on Netgalley, and I hope that this will put me back on track.

Take note, though, that I do have tour reviews to do this month.

You can sign up for Netgalley November at A Daydreamer`s Thoughts. Now, for my goal, I think Ill take the Medium challange and read 4-6 books. Might be more, but who knows. Im not sure which ones I will  be reading, so Ill keep that a surprise. I will, however, be starting with FIREBLOOD by Trisha Wolfe. I just love her books :)

 Stay Tuned!
